Gy\u00f6rgy Hazai (30.04.1932 – 07.01.2016)<\/h5>\nWe deeply regret to inform you that Professor Dr Dr hc GY\u00d6RGY HAZAI has died on January 7, 2016 in Budapest.<\/p>\n

Not only did he over many years actively support the research carried out by the Berlin Turfan Studies group, but it was primarily due to his efforts during the period from 1963 to 1982, when he was restoring the Turkish Studies at the Humboldt University, that the research into the materials from Turfan at the Berlin Academy of Sciences was (re-)activated.<\/p>\n

He coordinated the research group from 1963 to 1974, and contributed many important publications based on the Old Turkish manuscripts from Turfan.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
