Hasan Hasanov former Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affaires of Azerbaijan, and Ambassador to Hungary, visited the Hazai Library on October 16, 2021. He recalled his scholarly cooperation and friendship with Professor György Hazai in endearing terms. With great joy he accepted a copy of the memoires entitled „Against Headwinds On the Lee Side” in which he is mentioned along with other old friends. He was especially pleased that the library continues to exist as a scholarly atelier according to the international turkological spirit created by György Hazai and the one he was always true to.
Hasan Hasanov is the Member of the Council of Elders (Aksakallar Konseyi) of the Turkic Speaking States from the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the company of Binali Yıldırım former Prime Minister of Turkey, Turkish member of the Council of Elders , he visited Budapest and attended the conference held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Azerbaijan.
